Recently, the 2024 PTA Industry Development Exchange Meeting was held in Jiaxing. Nearly 100 related enterprises and financial institutions from all over the country gathered together to promote the development of the energy industry and contribute wisdom to the service function of port logistics to the industry.
PTA(refined terephthalic acid) industry is an important hub connecting the two pillar industries of national economy, petrochemical and chemical fiber textile, and is the core link in the industrial chain. Its main use is the production of polyester fiber (polyester), polyester bottle sheet and polyester film, widely used in chemical fiber, light industry, electronics, construction and other fields of national economy. Jiaxing is the key town of PTA industry, and occupies an important position in the domestic and even the global PTA industry supply chain. There are not only satellite petrochemical, new Fengming, Tongkun and other leading enterprises, but also a large number of chemical fiber enterprise foundation.
In March this year, Jiaxing Petrochemical's annual output of 3 million tons of refined terephthalic acid (PTA) and supporting facilities technical transformation project, which is wholly owned by Tongkun Group, was approved by the municipal energy assessment, and successfully selected into the provincial "thousand trillion" list in 2024. After reaching the project, the annual output value can reach 21 billion yuan, and the tax revenue is 1.1 billion yuan, truly realizing both green and low-carbon and economic benefits; Dushan Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Fengming Group Huzhou Zhongshi Technology Co., LTD., has put into operation the PTA project with an annual output of 2.2 million tons (Dushan Energy PTA Phase I project) and the green intelligent PTA project with an annual output of 2.2 million tons (Dushan Energy PTA Phase II project), and the PTA production capacity has increased, matching with the company's polyester filament and staple fiber products. Thus, the self-sufficiency rate of PTA is improved. Since its opening in 2008, Jiaxing Port has focused on PTA logistics for 16 years, and has become one of the PTA transit public terminals recognized in the industry, with an annual transfer volume of about 3 million tons.
At the meeting, Jiaxing Port, Hangzhou Port, Jiagang Logistics and other aspects of port logistics, delivery warehouse business were introduced, and energy experts, key enterprises and financial institutions exchanged and shared.
